I graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Communications. While most people think Comm is a worthless major, I enjoyed using my degree in the world of marketing and public relations.

2. I love being busy. I’m always first to volunteer to make or bring something to events or volunteer for projects. There’s no better feeling than collapsing into bed happily exhausted at night!

3. I live to bake and entertain. My favorite treat to bake is a batch of cupcakes with a perfect puff of frosting on top. I also might have a shopping problem when it comes to bakeware and serveware.

4. Comedy movies are my favorite. I love nothing more than a movie night of giggles with the hubby or friends.

5. I don’t have a favorite anything. Not a favorite candy, movie, color or actor. I can never pick just one!

6. I love Disney- movies, theme parks and races. The Disneyland Half Marathon was what got me off my tail and running in the first place! Disney is definitely my happy place!

7. I never dreamed of living outside the United States, and when Dan told me he got a job offer in Tokyo I wish him well and went apartment hunting in Seattle. I’m so glad I changed my mind. Living in Japan for 3 years has been an incredible journey, from tsunami volunteering to running one of Tokyo’s most successful running clubs.

8. All through college and even after, I hated cooking. I developed a love for it while living in Japan. One of the most frustrating parts of that was when I looked up delicious recipes, I couldn’t get all the ingredients there!

9. One of my favorite activities to do while home for an evening is work on a puzzle while watching a movie.

10. Speaking of favorite activities, READING! My reading list is incredibly long, but I enjoy biographies, fiction, science fiction, and the occasional mystery.

11. I love nail polish and have amassed quite the collection. I love to choose a color depending on the season, an occasion or my mood.

12. I’m half Jewish paternally. I was raised celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas. I’m proud of my heritage and while not religious enjoy continuing to celebrate both as an adult. And whenever Dan and I decide to crank out kids, I’m proud they’ll be a quarter Jewish!

13. I’ve developed an appreciation for microbrews. My mother in law works at a brewery on weekends and I have several friends who home brew beer. Dan and I enjoy touring breweries and I love trying seasonal ales. My all-time favorite is probably the Pumpking from Southern Tier Brewing Co.

14. I love frozen Gummy Bears and Junior Mints!

15. I collect mugs and juice pitchers. If you’re out and about somewhere cool, grab me a mug!

1. I graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Communications.
