I’m an aunt to a brand new baby nephew!

Nathan (or as I like to call him, Big Nate!) was incredibly impatient and wanted out! He kept psyching my sister and brother in law out for a week or so, and then made his grand appearance in the wee hours of Friday, April 20th. I was out of the apartment all day while she was in labor, which I think is a good thing, because I would have been texting my brother in law for updates every 5 minutes!! <\/p>\n

Big Nate came 6 weeks early and weighed under 5 lbs. Naturally he is spending some extra time in the hospital to beef up and get strong enough to go home!<\/p>\n

My sister is doing great, as is my brother in law and 2 13 year old nieces. As my BIL says, “they’re excited now, but Baby hasn’t come home and cried all night yet!”<\/p>\n

I wish so much I was with my family right now. I think they know it, but in case they don’t, here I am telling the world that if I had the cash and time off of my new job to fly home for a week, oh I’d do it in a heartbeat! Saving my funds now means a longer trip in September, when he’s 4 months old and up for some play time! <\/p>\n

Nate, your best days are ahead of you. You’re going to laugh and cry, have good and bad days, feel on top of the world one day and feel completely pancaked the next. If I could tell you anything right now, it’d be that it’s all normal and you have the most amazing family to help you through it.
