Alright, so yesterday was National Sibling Day, and of course I didn’t know until the day was nearly over!
So in honor of NSD, (or as you probably see it now, Throwback Thursday), here’s my sister and I, back in I believe 1989. I’m in blue
I’m so lucky to have such a great big sister!
Anyway, today being tanabata dance day, I spent the day over at Yokota air force base with my friend Christine. We ran, chatted and made hair pieces to wear with our yukatas. My run was ok- I’ve finally learned I just have to go as slow as possible right now to be pain free. And it worked! I was still sore though, my calves were killing me from a ChaLEAN Extreme workout I did yesterday. We did lots of lunges with a heel lift!
We worked on a challenging dance in class tonight that I’ll be performing at Yokota Elementary May 3rd. I need a lot of practice! Also, I got my club yukata, which I’m really excited about.

So a few weeks ago I purchased a couple yuakatas (you can see them here), and those are what we’ll normally perform at festivals in. We’ll all be different, bright colors. But for some fancier festivals, or tanabata festivals, we’ll have matching yukatas.
Tomorrow is Friday and you know that always puts me in a good mood- it’s hashing day! We’re celebrating a belated birthday, and I’m going to whip up his favorite- snickerdoodles!
